- Hayes was the team's busiest pitcher in the 1975 season, working sixty-six innings and winning six games in a row. He was the leader of the pitching squad for 1975 with a 2.05 ERA, forty-nine strikeouts, and a record of 6-1. In the postseason, Hayes was the winning pitcher in the ACC Tournament against Wake Forest and in the NCAA South Atlantic Regional against Temple.
