Bill Fowler, right field
Description:
Fowler provided one of the biggest bats for N. C. State during the 1950 season. During the summers of 1947, 1948, and 1949, he played in the semi-pro Albemarle League. He received $350 a month and lived with several other players in a beach cottage. From the 1951 yearbook "The biggest bats were wielded by All-Southern Bill Fowler and All-State Billy Smith (pictured here), both of whom have signed professional contracts."
