Robert Duane Mills

Bobby Mills was elected student body president in spring 2007. Although he was behind in the initial Student Government elections, Mills won the runoff election by approximately 100 votes. In an interview with the _Technician_ in April 2007, Mills described his goals for the presidency, which included additional community service projects, extending dining and tailgating hours, and altering all campus vending machines to accept debit cards. One of the first issues Mills tackled as president was escalating textbook prices. In summer 2007, Mills worked alongside Richard Hayes, the director of the bookstore, to adopt a guaranteed buy back program for all entry level course books. The bookstore implemented the buy back program in fall 2007. Bobby Mills ran an unsuccessful campaign for reelection in 2008. Mills graduated from NC State in 2009 with a degree in economics. Following graduation, Mills attended the London School of Economics and Political Science.
