- Biographical Note:
- Dean of the School of Design from 1973-1988, Coordinator of Centennial Campus from 1984-2000, and both Dean as well as Professor Emeritus of the School of Design. At his retirement reception in 2000, Gov. Hunt presented him with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award. The Claude E. McKinney Plaza was named in his honor. He received the Career Achievement Award for the Outstanding Research Park in 2002 given by the Association of University Related Research Parks.
