This folder contains office records related to an agreement made between the North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station and the Monsanto Chemical Company, including the report "The Evaluation of the Weed Control Properties of Six Experimental Chemicals Furnished by the Monsanto Chemical Company, 1959." The agreement made between the two institutions had the Monsanto Chemical Company "supply certain experimental herbicides which the Experiment Station would evaluation." Crops experimented on in the weed control experiment included cotton, soybeans, and peanuts. Also included are correspondence between the institutions related to the agreement and the experiments conducted.
