This folder contains the report fully-titled "Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering Agricultural Engineering Agricultural Experiment Station, North Carolina Stage University at Raleigh Report on Project S-288, Systems Engineering of the Cultural and Processing Operations in Tobacco, January 1966 to R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, Winston-Salem, North Carolina." In the report's abstract, it is stated that the studies objectives are to research "the reduction of labor in tobacco production" and "the establishment of criteria for closer quality control in harvesting and curing phases of production." The Reynolds Company gave financial support to the Agricultural Experiment Station so it would be able to benefit from the project's findings. The report contains tables, diagrams, and photographs to support its information.
