Correspondence related to agricultural machinery for tobacco crops, 1958-1967
Description:
The contents of this folder contain the correspondence between N. C. State's Agricultural Engineering faculty and staff and other institutions regarding the development and research of agricultural machinery, most notably devices related to the department’s progress in the area of tobacco growth and harvesting. The letters contain exchanges requesting the expertise opinion of various national and international institutions. The letters also include requests for relevant articles and papers to assist in agricultural research. Also included is a report “Proposal for Preparation and Marketing Flue Cured Tobacco In a Mechanized Age,” by tobacco marketing specialist J. H. Cyrus.
