Contains reports, memorandums, letters, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and conference papers related to research by the NC State Inter-disciplinary research committee for horticultural crops, chaired by F. L. Haynes. Also on the committee were W.E. Splinter, C.N. Clayton, and R.A. King. This committee was one of several interdisciplinary committees appointed in 1962 by R. L. Lovvorn, Director of research, NC State School of Agriculture to "think in term of a 10-year projection for [agricultural] research in North Carolina."
