This folder contains an outline for a speech titled “Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread.” It gives a history of agriculture from its birth in prehistoric times to how it is not the primary occupation of Americans (compared to historically in the United States and to the rest of the world) during the time of the writing of this speech. This historical context leads to suggestions on how to improve American farmers’ status and significance. The speech had been written on with a copious amount of notes.
