- Michael Braun (merchant, owner of English-German print shop, and property owner) and Margareta Braun, first owner.
- Architectural note:
- The home utilizes an unusual plan with four unequal first-story rooms. The building was restored in 1966.
- Historical note:
- The home is the oldest German building in the state, is among the oldest buildings in the Piedmont, and is one of the Piedmont's two standing examples of colonial stone structures. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
