- Solomon Ruffin Perry (former Revolutionary War captain), first owner; Thomas Nicholas and Elizabeth Boddie Perry Alston, mid-nineteenth century owner; Walter Alston, Jr. and Mrs. John Mott, mid-twentieth century owner. Perry's father, Burwell Perry, lived at Cascine, a large plantation near Louisburg.
