Historical note:: No exact date is known for the organization of the church, but it was organized by 1819 when Governor John Owens’s slave Moreau, formerly Omar Ibn Said, an African prince who had been educated in Arabic, worshiped at Beth Car. The church is formally known as Beth Car Presbyterian Church.
General note:: The building was likely built before 1819.
